New Rochelle Railroad Station

The client wanted to provide up-to-date commuter services while recapturing the charm and decor of this early 20th century station. The original design was respected in both the exterior and interior of the building. The library of a local railroad historian provided the needed research as to the station's original color scheme and terrazzo flooring. We added wainscoting, wood-clad columns and period light fixtures. The design team chose materials that could handle today's high-volume passenger traffic in a building restored to its previous glory.
